Who are we?

The Support Wealden website has been created by Hailsham Creative – we are a creative studio in the Wilmington, who decided we needed to do something to strengthen our community during the COVID-19 outbreak.

How is your information used?

Any data you provide us to add to the Support Wealden site as a listing will be made public on the site until we take it down or you request it to be removed.

We may use your information to:

  • Contact you regarding queries raised in the contact form
  • Seek your views or comments on the services we provide;
  • Notify you of changes to our services;
  • Send you communications which you have requested and that may be of interest to you.
  • These may include information about campaigns, appeals, other fundraising activities, promotions of our associated companies goods and services.

We collect information to process orders, requests for information, improve customers’ online experience, supply information to those who  have expressed an interest and for record keeping. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will only use your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Data collected & purpose of collection

When you place an order, complete a listings submission with us or request a quotation we collect name and address, telephone, and email address  which are entered onto our online database which is password protected and operated by Grafenia  PLC. This provides us with default details for your order  processing and generates a customer user name and password. We store contact details of customers and their order history on our online accounting database, FreeAgent which is password protected.

When you place an order with us we process your shipping address and may take credit card details to take payment for your order which is processed via a secure server and which retains details of the credit card transaction. You or we must enter the details for each purchase for security reasons. Invoicing address and shipping addresses are retained so you do not have to enter them again. Order details are retained so you can access your order history.

You consent to us (and our representatives) disclosing information to third parties: (i) if we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce any contract entered into with us, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, ourselves or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction; and (ii) if we determine that such disclosure is necessary in connection with any investigation or complaint regarding your use of our services or this website.

You may at any time elect not to receive marketing information from us. All of our marketing  emails are sent from a password protected database with Mailchimp.

Data retention

We will retain customer’s data for as long as they are an active customer or for the minimum required length of time to comply with legal obligations.  For enquiries and those who have asked to receive marketing communications from us or have expressed an interest we will retain basic contact data for a reasonable length of time or until we receive a request to remove. You are entitled to ask for a copy of the information held about you at any time by contacting us. We may charge a small fee for this.

Security precautions in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your information

When you give us personal information, we take steps to ensure that it’s treated securely. Any sensitive information (such as credit or debit card details) is encrypted and protected with the following software 128 Bit encryption on SSL. When you are on a secure page, a lock icon will appear on the bottom of web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Non-sensitive details (your email address etc.) are transmitted normally over the Internet, and this can never be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems. Where we have given (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our websites, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
